As Summer Falls ~ Donna Carrick

Here we are on Sunday morning,
Last in September,
Sunlight tickling the yellow and red
Till it comes out of hiding
From within layers of weary green.

So summer falls at last
Into the glory of its past.

We watch in wonder as
Autumn hails itself
The one true ruler
Of the North.

  1. Lovely tribute to the end of summer. Our first autumnal day arrived in Cyprus. Dying plants will thrive again.
